BEIJING - You've seen the movie about the football played by the monks of the Shaolin Temple?
Now the monks of the Shaolin Temple will make this happen by opening a soccer school which will be combined with knowledge of kung fu.
That is because soccer in the Bamboo Curtain country that is considered bad. Therefore, the monks took the initiative to open a kung fu school football.
Shaolin Temple Abbot Shi Yanlu say that kung fu disciplines will benefit the young footballer.
He now has chosen the 40 monks who were trained at the school under the supervision of expert kung fu and also a former national footballer.
"Chinese football is now very disappointing. We hope that by combining elements of kung fu and spirit, Chinese football will be better," said Yanlu as reported by Orange, on Tuesday (29/03/2011).
School football monk is also supported by the Chinese Football Association, which has provided equipment, including a thousand football. Now the school plans to build a wider field for their students can freely play. (RHS)
